Indian Health Insurance Plan Go Live In 2008.

Recently, the US government has approve an Indiana Health Insurance program that will extend health insurance coverage too low-income people. But, some term must fullfill to get this coverage:

  1. Incomes do not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level. Individual, $20,420; Family of four, $41,300.
  2. Must be uninsured at least six months.
  3. Not be eligible for employer-provided health insurance.

*sigh* I don’t know have to laugh or cry reading Walter Ellis report. I just don’t know how to react about this fact. We might get a complete health insurance cover ONLY (and i mean ONLY) if we have a $ 50,000 income a year!  (Where in the hell I’m going to have such money? rob a bank?! Yeah right!)

Online health insurance comparison misleading?

I just read the news, that The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have accepted court-enforceable undertakings from iSelect Health. They might mislead the customer by claiming providing compared health insurance quotes from various health insurer, helping customer finding all health insurance cover, thus could find the best cover with the lowest price.
