Do you have European Health Insurance Card (Ehic)?
Some of you may be like skiing, specially IF there is someone special next to you right? (Come on, nobody want to skiing alone). And you think that you need a ski health insurance, just in case something bad happen. You than apply for European Health Insurance Card (Ehic), and have been approved. Huraaay……..WAIT!!!
Do you think that would protect you from excess cost? NO!
It will not cover costly extras such as an air ambulance, personal liability, trip cancellation, or loss of baggage, and should not be viewed as a substitute for insurance. (WHAT?) Yes, that’s the truth my friend. Some of the cost would not be covered by EHIC.
To have a proper ski health insurance, you can do following (taken from Telegraph):
Make sure you read every detail in your policy, even the little one in the bottom of the page. Please, be careful if you apply for ski health insurance because some insurance company would only insure you only if you under professional instructor. And if you skiing or snowboarding while drunk, you might as forget about health insurance claim, because you will ABSOLUTELY not going to get one!
