Heartless Vetoes of Bush on Children Health Insurance!

Did you know that President Bush has raise a veto on Children Health Insurance? This vetoes has risen based on facts that many states has spending SCHIP funds for adults. As quote from MarketWatch, “Text of President Bush’s weekly radio address”:“Unfortunately, more than 500,000 poor children who are eligible for SCHIP coverage are not enrolled in the program. At the same time, many States are spending SCHIP funds on adults. In fact, based on their own projections for this fiscal year, Minnesota, Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan, Rhode Island, and New Mexico will spend more SCHIP money on adults than they do on children. And that is not the purpose of the program.”

As a result, debate has risen on both side, whether Democrat or Republican. Congressman Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the House Majority Leader, claims that most of President argument on SCHIP are wrong. As quote from WizbangBlue, “Democratic Radio Response to Bush’s Veto of Children’s Health Insurance”:
“The President claims - wrongly - that this bill is fiscally irresponsible.

The truth is, this legislation is fully paid for. It does not add one nickel to the deficit or to the debt.

Furthermore, under the Presidents proposal more than 800,000 children who now receive coverage under CHIP would lose that coverage.

The President claims that this legislation would lead to a government takeover of health insurance. He is wrong.

The truth is, Americas largest private insurance lobbying group supports this bill - as do Americas doctors, nurses, childrens advocates, 43 governors, and, most importantly, 72 percent of Americans.

The claims made against this bill are simply wrong.”

With his vetoes, Bush has just make millions of low-income children uncovered. How suppose this happen? How we help them instead of just making a rough rhetoric. We need action! Don’t do NATO (No Action Talk Only).

[…] For a rich country like America (hey, don’t argue with me about this, blame them who said that), a very funny situation when people in the State have to argue about increasing health insurance cost.
